Custom design process

For plus size ladies, Living Silk offers a made to measure service for all of our garments shown online. The process is simple:

  1. Choose your outfit from our online store.

  2. Using the Measurement Chart below, have your measurements taken by a professional seamstress / dressmaker.

  3. Select the Custom size option on the product page for your chosen outfit. Please note, this will incur an additional pattern fee.

  4. Fill in the measurement fields in the fields that drop down below the size options using centimeters (metric). Your garments will be made in accordance with those measurements, and quality checked 3 times by our professional dressmakers.

Your garments will be sent to you within 4 weeks of receiving your order and measurements.

Your contact person for all made to measure garments is Olivia Russell. Please keep in mind that as we are making these garments in accordance with your personal measurements, they are not refundable.

As we have to make a new pattern for each individual piece, there is an extra cost for custom sized pieces, which is automatically applied when you select the Custom size option. As you have not had a fitting, alterations may be required and we can certainly recommend local seamstresses to do these alterations.
